I’m a designer, photographer, and creative thinker based in Southern California, working at the intersection of usability, accessibility, and creativity.

Design & UX

Hi, I’m Ali—a designer, photographer, and creative thinker based in Southern California. I’ve spent my career designing intuitive, user-centered experiences that simplify complex systems, with a focus on accessibility and inclusive design.

With over a decade of experience spanning UX/UI, product design, and leadership, I specialize in designing for aging populations, accessibility, and digital tools that improve everyday life. Currently, I’m a Senior Product Designer at GrandPad, where I design digital experiences for seniors (80+) and their families across iOS, Android, and web.

Beyond product work, I lead and mentor designers, facilitate workshops, and build scalable design systems that create long-term impact. My approach to design is rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and problem-solving, whether I’m crafting digital experiences or exploring new creative projects.

Beyond Design

When I’m not designing, I’m exploring the world through photography and creative projects. I love capturing landscapes, colors, and textures—finding beauty in overlooked details. My photography has been featured at the county fair (it’s competitive!), and I’m currently experimenting with transforming my images into artistic compositions and print work.

I also enjoy hands-on creative projects—from lino-cut printing to exploring new artistic techniques. After spending so much time on screens, working with physical materials gives me a fresh perspective and a deeper appreciation for imperfection in art.

Beyond my creative work, I’m passionate about film, books, and storytelling—always looking for new ways to expand my perspective.
